About the Department

The department of commerce was started in the year 1998 in response to a growing demand for commerce education, among women students. Empowering women by providing Value Based Commerce Education thus by creating Professional and Entrepreneurs. The Syllabi of Accounting, Costing and Tax Papers have been designed in tune with the recent industry developments. Thrust is given to ensure the students get through the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and Foundation courses of Chartered Accountants (CA) and ICWAI at undergraduate level.

Dynamic association of commerce department provides ample opportunities to the students abreast with the expanding knowledge through conducting participating in guest lectures, seminars symposium, conference,youth parliament, Ad round, Interaction with corporate people industrial visit, student Rejuvenation programme etc.,

Objectives:

To impart knowledge in Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Banking to all students.
To motivate students to have a professional career in Commerce by taking up such courses as CA., ICWA., and ACS.,,
To make them suitable for employment by imparting various skills needed to empower them.
To enable the students for developing social and managerial skills.
To inculcate ethical values in personal and social life.
